Identity under tension

Aoka shaped the visual identity of Totems through the logo, title treatment, opening titles and key art. Inspired by Cold War aesthetics and Russian graphic references, the system was designed to feel bold, cinematic and instantly recognizable, with the scale and tension of a blockbuster campaign.

Opening title

The opening title builds the Cold War atmosphere through archival imagery, burned documents and distressed textures, creating a tense, fragmented visual language that feels secret, unstable and cinematic.

The Forbidden Soudtrack

The opening titles became an activation in their own right. To push the Cold War concept beyond the screen, the Red Army Choir was invited to perform the title sequence soundtrack, turning a key part of the identity into a powerful cultural statement.

Bringing espionage into the real world

To launch Totems, Prime Video extended the series’ spy universe beyond the screen by infiltrating its biggest rival: Netflix. A simple activation that turned the core theme of espionage into a real-world stunt.
